On the 17th of July 2024, a final dissemination event of the project “The Music Balkan Train for Peace” was organized in Larissa, Greece in front of stakeholders from Greece. The two Greek partners were the organizers: Association A.I.D. together with the Music school of Larissa. Representatives from the school community, representatives of the local and regional authorities, parents and local stakeholders attended the event.
The event started with a welcoming speech by a representative of the Greek partner NGO A.I.D.
Then representatives from the Association A. I. D. presented realized project activities and achieved project results that are 2 Intellectual Outputs:
With the ultimate aim of strengthening human relations in the European territory, Intellectual Output 1, within the framework of the Erasmus+ Project, “The Music Balkan Train For Peace”, examines and proposes ways in which music and music education can contribute to the development of social synchronization, the creation of a common European identity and the elimination of phenomena of racism and prejudice within and outside the school context.
The main purpose of the Intellectual Output 2 – Policy Brief Recommendation For Stakeholders, is to establish a long-term strategic partnership among different types of organizations for the improvement of the educational processes in the 3 countries – Greece, Bulgaria, and North Macedonia.
The music school of Larissa, partner in this project, presented their activities and how they worked with their students on the project topics. Then they presented a musical video that they created related to the topics of fighting against contemporary negative phenomena like radicalization, racism and hate speech during the project.
The event concluded with a winning ceremony where the best students’ team from the Greek school was rewarded by the school Principal, and a cocktail was offered to the stakeholders to discuss the project achievements in an informal environment.
